Day 1: Windhoek – Etosha National Park:
Departure from Windhoek to the North. Drive via Okahandja, the former tribal centre of the Herero people, Otjiwarongo and Outjo to the famous Etosha National Park. First game viewing drive. Dinner/ bed/breakfast at Taleni Etosha Village/ Toshari Lodge or similar.

Day 2 : Etosha National Park - Namibia Best Tour Package :
Full day of game viewing in the Etosha National Park which is one of the major sanctuaries of wildlife in Africa. The area was proclaimed a game reserve as far back as 1907. The size of the park is 22.270km² and it consists mainly of grass and bush savannah. This type of landscape provides excellent opportunities for game viewing at the numerous waterholes or in the open countryside. The Etosha Pan which the park is named after is approximately 6. 000km² in size. In the language of the Ovambo people, Etosha means “place of dry water” or “large white place”. Day 4: Etosha National Park – Okonjati Wildlife Sanctuary :
After breakfast drive to Tsumeb and visit the Mine Museum, this is among the Namibia Best Tour Package. Proceed via Otjiwarongo to the Mt. Etjo Safari Lodge. Situated in the Okonjati Wildlife Sanctuary, one of the most scenic parts of Namibia you can come into close contact with nature itself. Hundreds of species of birds and mammals can be sighted here, incl. elephant, black and white rhino, giraffe and numerous antelope, ranging from the majestic kudu to the diminutive Damara dik-dik. Day 1: Windhoek – Gochas
Drive from Windhoek via Dordabis, Uhlenhorst, Stampriet and Gochas through the beautiful scenery of the Kalahari outskirts to the Auob Lodge. Afternoon nature drive. Dinner/bed/breakfast at Auob Lodge or Kamelruhe Guesthouse.

Day 2: Gochas – Fish River Canyon area - Namibia Best Tour
Drive to the Kokerboom forest (quiver tree).The quiver trees (aloe dichotoma) are so named because the ancient Bushmen used to manufacture quivers from the bark from the trees, in which they carried their arrows. Explore the area, continue to Keetmanshoop and proceed past the Naute Dam to the Canyon Roadhouse/ Lodge/Village. Dinner/bed/breakfast at Canyon Roadhouse/ Lodge/Village or similar.

Day 3: Fish River Canyon – Lüderitz
Visit the Fish River Canyon, the second largest canyon in the world. This gigantic ravine is the Namibia Best Tour, in places almost 500 metres deep, has been gorged out of vast undulating plain in the course of thousands of years. Proceed to Lüderitz via Seeheim and Aus. This drive takes you through intriguing “moon” landscape of endless desert vistas and bizarre rock formations Dinner/bed/breakfast at Lüderitz Nest Hotel.

Day 4: Lüderitz – Klein Aus Vista
Lüderitz, is the first German settlement in Namibia, named after the merchant Adolf Lüderitz from Bremen, who bought this area from the Hottentots in 1883 is the Namibia Best Tour. The small harbor town is perched on rugged black rock, offset by the deep blue waters of the bay and is surrounded by bays, coves and fjords. During the morning visit to the “ghost town” of Kolmanskop where diamonds were first discovered in Namibia. Afterwards sightseeing in and around Lüderitz and drive to Klein Aus Vista. Day 5: Klein Aus Vista – Namib Desert

Day 6: Sossusvlei – Sesriem Canyon
In the early morning depart on an excursion to the Sesriem Canyon and Sossusvlei, a large clay pan in the centre to the Namib Desert, surrounded by the highest sand dunes in the world. Arrive back at the Lodge round about lunch time. In the afternoon take part in a nature drive through the private reserve making it Namibia Best Tour. Day 7: Namib Desert – Windhoek

Day 1: Windhoek – Region Botswana Border
Departure from Windhoek in the morning (07:45 hrs) and drive via Witvlei and Gobabis to Zelda Guestfarm 25 km away from the Buitepos/Mamuno border post. In the afternoon game drive on the farm. After a short rest dinner will be served. Dinner/bed/breakfast at Zelda Guestfarm or similar.

Day 2: Botswana Border – Maun
Early departure. After the border post procedures, the drive will continue via Tshootsha (formerly Kalkfontein), Ghanzi and Toteng to Maun. In the afternoon there is time available for a scenic flight over the Okavango delta. (We offer this flight optional). Dinner/bed/ breakfast at Adansonia Hotel.

Day 3: Maun – Okavango Delta
After an early breakfast you will be picked up from the hotel by a vehicle of the lodge and drive to Mogotlho Safari Lodge, nestled in-between a Leadwood forest, overlooking the Khwai River and beyond which joins the Moremi game reserve. In this private concession area you can find elephants, hippos, wild dogs, giraffes, leopards, lions and numerous antelopes as well as a big variety of birds making it Namibia Best Tour. Activities at the lodge include morning and afternoon game drives, as well as after-dark spotlight game drives in the private concession and into Moremi or Savuti, not forgetting the drives along the Khwai River. Day 5: Mogotlho Safari Lodge – Maun - Nata After breakfast transfer back to Maun. Change of vehicle and drive via Motopi and past the Nxai Pan Park, Makgadikgadi Pans National Park and Gweta to Nata. Day 6: Nata – Kasane
After breakfast the tour will proceed northwards through the Sibuyu Forest Reserve, the Kazuma Forest Reserve and the Kasane Forest Reserve Extension to Kasane. Day 1: Windhoek – Swakopmund
Travel from Windhoek across the rolling hills of the Khomashochland at an altitude of more than 2.000 metres above sea level, down the Gamsberg Pass into the Namib, which is the oldest desert in the world. The landscape varies from rugged mountains and rocky outcrops to sand-filled valleys and endless vistas of plains. After a short rest with lunch packs proceed through the Namib-Naukluft Park, where, with a bit of luck, one can see ostriches, springbok, oryx and Mountain zebras. Then on to the Welwitschia Plain, where the Welwitschia mirabilis, a living fossil, that is only found in the Namib and southern Angola, occurs in large numbers. Drive to the so called “moon valley” – a fascinating rock formation which is millions of years old. Arrival in Swakopmund at about sunset. Lunch packs en route. Bed/breakfast at Hotel Prost or similar.

Day 2: Walvis Bay
After breakfast, depart to Walvis Bay for a boat cruise with sparkling wine, fresh oysters and snacks on board. Return to Swakopmund. In the afternoon city tour through Swakopmund and rest of the day at leisure. Bed/breakfast at Hotel Prost or similar.

Day 3: Swakopmund – Erongo mountains

Day 4: Erongo mountains - Ugab Terraces

THE TRIBES OF NORTHERN NAMIBIA – 1.11.2017 till 31.10.2018 Namibia Best Tour Package

Day 1: Windhoek – Tsumeb – Etosha
In the morning departure from Windhoek in northerly direction via Okahandja, Otjiwarongo, Otavi and Tsumeb to the Etosha National Park. Dinner/bed/breakfast at Mokuti Etosha Lodge.

Day 2: Mokuti – Ombili – Etosha National Park
After breakfast depart to Farm Hedwigslust, home of the Ombili foundation. The aim of the foundation is to teach the 350 Bushmen living on the farm to become self-sufficient as “farmers”, to sow, produce and harvest crops as an alternative to hunting game, which has become extinct and the Namibia Best Tour Package. The Ombili Foundation relies on donations to finance this project. A gratuity of approximately N$ 50.00 is much appreciated. Drive back to Mokuti Etosha Lodge bordering the Etosha National Park. Dinner/bed/breakfast at Mokuti Etosha Lodge.

Day 3: Etosha National Park – 4-O Region – Oshakati
Driving through a small part of the Etosha National Park continue further north to 4-O region, the most densely populated region of Namibia (approximately 600 000 people). The Ovambo in Namibia consist of 8 sub-tribes. The Nakambale Museum at Olukondo is the first stop, depicting the past and present role of the Finnish Mission, the church and the local cultures. Visit the Ngonga homestead and observe the different demonstrations on wheat crushing, basket weaving, hair braiding, possibly traditional dancing and music etc. A traditional lunch will be served. Proceed to Oshakati via Ondangwa. Dinner/bed/ breakfast at Oshakati Country Hotel.

Day 4: Oshakati – Ruacana – Opuwo
Travel through the Omusati region. Flat, sandy plains dotted with makalani palms, savannah and mopane woodlands characterize the landscape. Stop at different attractions. Continue to Opuwo via Ruacana. Dinner/bed/breakfast at Opuwo Country Hotel.

Day 5: Opuwo – Epupa Falls
Early departure in direction of Epupa Falls which is real the Namibia Best Tour. The Epupa Falls (also known as Monte Negro Falls in Angola) are created by the Kunene River on the border of Angola and Namibia, in the Kaokoland area of the Kunene Region. The river is 0.5 km wide and drops in a series of waterfalls spread over 1.5 km, with the greatest single drop being 37 m. The name "Epupa" is a Herero word for "foam", in reference to the foam created by the falling water. The falls are a major visitor attraction in Namibia and the Namibia Best Tour Package, because of the largely unspoiled environment, with fig trees, baobabs, makalani palms, and colored rock walls framing the falls. Lunch packs en route. Dinner/bed/breakfast at Omarunga Lodge.

Day 6: Epupa Falls
After breakfast we visit a typical Himba settlement. The Himba are a sub-tribe of the Herero people. They are the only tribe still practicing their ancient tradition and culture. They are nomads who roam the area in search of grazing for their cattle. A number of deserted settlements will be seen along the way. A local guide will accompany the group in order to negotiate a visit to a “Kraal” with the headman of the tribe and will explain the lifestyle and the culture of the Himba people. Return to the Lodge. In the afternoon take part in a guided excursion to the Falls. Enjoy a nice sundowner afterwards. Dinner/bed/breakfast at Omarunga Lodge.

Day 7: Epupa Fall – Western Etosha
Very early in the morning we are heading southwards. We drive back to Opuwo and proceed to the Hobatere Lodge, which is opposite the western entrance of the Etosha National Park. First game viewing on the way to the lodge. Lunch packs en route. Dinner/bed/breakfast at Hobatere Lodge.

Day 8: Western Etosha
Travel through the western part of the Etosha National Park. The oryx and other antelopes favour this region. West of Okaukuejo is the well-known “Sprokieswoud”, Phantom or Fairy Forest, the only place where the african moringa tree grows in a flat area. Game viewing continues till late afternoon before you leave the park and arrive at your lodge. Dinner/bed/breakfast at Taleni Etosha Village/ Toshari Lodge or similar

Day 9: Etosha – Windhoek
Return to Windhoek via Outjo, Otjiwarongo and Okahandja. Arrive in Windhoek during the afternoon.

Day 01: Windhoek – Namib Desert

Day 02: Sossuvlei – Sesriem Canyon
After an early morning departure you will experience the spectacular dune landscape of the Namib, boasting the highest dunes in the world. After viewing the nearby Sesriem Canyon, we proceed northwards along the eastern border of the Namib Naukluft Park., back to Namib Desert Lodge. Enjoy the afternoon at leisure. Day 03: Namib Desert – Walvis Bay
Drive via Solitaire, Gaub- and Kuiseb Pass into the Namib Naukluft Park, passing fantastic rock formations. We reach Walvis Bay in the afternoon. Bed/breakfast at Protea Pelican Bay Hotel.

Day 4: Walvis Bay – Boat Cruise - Swakopmund
At 08h00 we board a motor boat/ Catamaran for a 3-hour boat trip. During this time we will see and have the opportunity to observe the many seabird species. Seals and dolphins soon become a topic of conversation as they accompany the boat on its journey. We will idle within arm’s reach of enormous seal colonies, whilst on board enjoying fresh Atlantic oysters, open bread rolls, and South African sparkling wine and light drinks. Afterwards continue to Swakopmund. Rest of the day at leisure. On request (and at own cost) activities can be arranged. Bed/breakfast at Swakopmund Prost Hotel.

Day 5: Swakopmund - Twyfelfontein
Early departure direction Twyfelfontein. Viewing of the Twyfelfontein rock paintings and rock engravings and the burnt mountain – a testimony to Namibia’s very early and eventful human habitation. Dinner/bed/breakfast at the Twyfelfontein Lodge/ Damara Mopane Lodge or similar.

Day 6: Twyfelfontein – Etosha National Park
Today we view the Ugab terraces and the “Fingerklippe”, a 35m high sandstone column, with a circumference of 44 m, before continuing our journey to the Etosha National Park. First short game drive. Dinner/bed/breakfast at the Toshari Lodge or similar.

Day 7: Etosha National Park
THE ETOSHA NATIONAL PARK – one of the largest and most prominent game reserves in Africa and the Namibia Best Tour, covers an area of 22 270 km². The park is home to approximately 114 species of animal wildlife. The main area of the Etosha National Park is covered by a huge salt pan, 129 km long and up to 72 km wide. During the rainy season the pan resembles a huge lake, but this soon evaporates during the dry season, leaving behind a shimmering sediment causing mirages to play havoc on the eyes. A visit during the dry season, May to October, is certainly the most rewarding time for game viewing. Huge herds of game assemble at the waterholes in the early mornings and before dusk, entertaining the audience with their different antics. Whole day game viewing in the park. Dinner/bed/breakfast at the Mokuti Etosha Lodge or similar.

Day 8: Etosha National Park

Day 1: Windhoek - Gochas

Day 2: Gochas – Fish River Canyon area

Day 3: Fish River Canyon – Lüderitz
Visit the Fish River Canyon, the second largest canyon in the world. This drive takes you through intriguing “moon” landscape of endless desert vistas and bizarre rock formations. Dinner/bed/breakfast at the Lüderitz Nest Hotel.

Day 4: Lüderitz – Klein Aus Vista
Lüderitz, is the first German settlement in Namibia, named after the merchant Adolf Lüderitz from Bremen, who bought this area from the Hottentots in 1883. The small harbor town is perched on rugged black rock, offset by the deep blue waters of the bay, and is surrounded by bays, coves and fjords. During the morning visit to the “ghost town” of Kolmanskop where diamonds were first discovered in Namibia. Afterwards sightseeing in and around Lüderitz and drive to Klein Aus Vista.. Dinner/bed/breakfast at the Desert Horse Inn/Bahnhofshotel Aus.

Day 5: Klein Aus Vista – Namib Desert
Continue through the scenic Neisip Plain and drive along the edge of the Namib Desert, the Tiras Mountains and the Nubib Mountains to the lodge. Dinner/bed/breakfast at the Namib Naukluft Lodge in the Soft Adventure Camp.

Day 6: Sossusvlei – Sesriem Canyon
In the early morning depart on an excursion to the Sesriem Canyon and Sossusvlei, a large clay pan in the centre to the Namib Desert, surrounded by the highest sand dunes in the world. Arrive back at the lodge round about lunch time. In the afternoon take part in a nature drive through the private reserve. Dinner/bed/breakfast at the Namib Naukluft Lodge in the Soft Adventure Camp.

Day 7: Namib Desert - Windhoek
Drive via Remhoogte Pass to Rehoboth and visit the Oanob Dam. Return to Windhoek. Arrival in the late afternoon. Bed/breakfast at the Safari Court.

Day 8: Windhoek – Etosha National Park
Departure from Windhoek to the North. Drive via Okahandja, the former tribal centre of the Herero people, Otjiwarongo and Outjo to the famous Etosha National Park. First game viewing drive. Dinner/ bed/breakfast at Taleni Etosha Village/Toshari Lodge or similar.

Day 9 : Etosha National Park
Full day of game viewing in the Etosha National Park which is one of the major sanctuaries of wildlife in Africa. The area was proclaimed a game reserve as far back as 1907. The size of the park is 22.270km² and it consists mainly of grass and bush savannah. This type of landscape provides excellent opportunities for game viewing at the numerous waterholes or in the open countryside. The Etosha Pan which the park is named after is approximately 6.000km² in size. In the language of the Ovambo people, Etosha means “place of dry water” or “large white place”. Dinner/bed/breakfast at Taleni Etosha Lodge/ Toshari Lodge or similar.

Day 10: Etosha National Park
Another game viewing day is spent in the Etosha National Park. In the late afternoon, you leave the park and continue to a lodge next to the park. Dinner/bed/breakfast at Mokuti Etosha Lodge or similar.

Day 11: Etosha National Park – Okonjata Wildlife Sanctuary
After breakfast drive to Tsumeb and visit the Mine Museum. Proceed via Otjiwarongo to the Mt. Etjo Safari Lodge. Situated in the Okonjati Wildlife Sanctuary, one of the most scenic parts of Namibia, you can come into close contact with nature itself. Hundreds of species of birds and mammals can be sighted here, incl. elephant, black and white rhino, giraffe and numerous antelope, ranging from the majestic kudu to the diminutive Damara dik-dik. Day 1: Windhoek – Botswana Border Region
Departure from Windhoek in the morning (07:45 hrs) and drive via Witvlei and Gobabis to Zelda Guestfarm 25 km away from the Buitepos/Mamuno border post.. In the afternoon game drive on the farm. After a short rest dinner will be served. Dinner/bed/breakfast Zelda Guestfarm or similar.

Day 2: Botswana Border – Maun
Early departure. After the border post procedures, the drive will continue via Tshootsha (formerly Kalkfontein), Ghanzi and Toteng to Maun. In the afternoon there is time available for a scenic flight over the Okavango delta. (We offer this flight optional). Dinner/bed/ breakfast at Adansonia Hotel.

Day 3: Maun – Okavango Delta
After an early breakfast you will be picked up from the hotel by a vehicle of the lodge and drive to Mogotlho Safari Lodge, nestled in-between a Leadwood forest, overlooking the Khwai River and beyond which joins the Moremi game reserve. In this private concession area you can find elephants, hippos, wild dogs, giraffes, leopards, lions and numerous antelopes as well as a big variety of birds which real becomes the Namibia Best Tour. After breakfast transfer back to Maun. Change of vehicle and drive via Motopi and past the Nxai Pan Park, Makgadikgadi Pans National Park and Gweta to Nata. In the afternoon 4x4 vehicles will take the group to the nearby pan area for a nature drive. Dinner/bed/breakfast at Pelican Lodge.

Day 6: Nata – Kasane
After breakfast the tour will proceed northwards through the Sibuyu Forest Reserve, the Kazuma Forest Reserve and the Kasane Forest Reserve Extension to Kasane. Day 7: Chobe National Park

Travel from Windhoek across the rolling hills of the Khomashochland at an altitude of more than 2000 metres above sea level, down the Gamsberg Pass into the Namib, which is the oldest desert in the world. The landscape varies from rugged mountains and rocky outcrops to sand-filled valleys and endless vistas of plains. After a short rest with lunch packs proceed through the Namib-Naukluft Park where, with a bit of luck, one can see Ostriches, Springbok, Oryx and Mountain Zebras. Then on to the Welwitschia Plain, where the Welwitschia mirabilis, a living fossil, that is only found in the Namib and southern Angola, occurs in large numbers. Drive to the so called “moon valley” - a fascinating rock formation which is millions of years old. Arrival in Swakopmund at about sunset. Lunch packs en route. Day 9: Walvis Bay – Boat Cruise

The banks of the Seronera River are lined with lush palm trees, sausage trees, towering yellow fever acacias, bird species and the Retima Hippo Pool.

The Central Serengeti Seronera Valley supports a much greater diversity of resident wildlife than anywhere else in the Serengeti including elephant, giraffe, impala, waterbuck, hippo, topi, reedbuck, buffalo and baboon. This resident prey in turn attracts the highest concentrations of large predators in Africa lion, hyena, leopard and cheetah and a multitude of smaller predators.

Day 2: Prison/Tortoises Island Snorkeling (Changuu Island) & Stone Town Tour

Earning its name as a former prison for slaves and a quarantine station for Zanzibar and the mainland, nowadays the island gives you the chance to escape for some peace and quiet.

The island lies just off the Old Stone Town, it is also a home to giant land tortoises that were imported from Seychelles in the late 19th century. Now it is more commonly known as a home of Zanzibar’s Giant Aldabran Tortoise colony, some of which are over a hundred years old! This endangered species came to Zanzibar as a gift from the government of the Seychelles.

Once on the island, you have the opportunity to feed and pet the tortoises; if you have time you may also like to take a stroll through the forested interior where you will see a wide variety of birds, colorful peacocks, bats, and beautiful butterflies. Keep your eyes peeled too for the shy and elusive Duikers – an unusual tiny antelope species.
It is fringed with a beautiful coral reef, ideal for snorkeling, and has a lovely white beach for sunbathing. This tour is a great way to see some history and wildlife, and also to see Stone Town from the sea as many old maritime legends would have done.

The species are frequently found at Menai Bay are Spinner and Bottlenose dolphins. Swim with them as long as they stay close to the boat. You will then go on to one of the selected snorkeling areas, while accompanied by a snorkeling guide to show you points of interest and to assist the beginners. Still you have the option to relax on the beach only.

Day 4: Spice Tour & Kendwa Beach
