Ngorongoro Crater Tanzania
Ngorongoro Crater is a top selection for any list of the world's greatest natural wonders and among the top 3 of the 7 natural wonders of Africa.
Ngorongoro Crater was created when a large volcano exploded and collapsed on itself 2 to 3 million years ago. It was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1978 and is the largest intact volcanic caldera in the world.
Its diameter is about 19km and the walls of about 610m in height.
Before In 1951 Serengeti National Park was declared, encompassing split into the present-day Serengeti National Park, and the current Ngorongoro Conservation Area.

Spotted hyenas are even more common here, often competing with the lion, and there's are a small but growing number of cheetah. Leopards are around, especially in the vicinity of the Lerai Forest. Side-striped and the lovely golden jackal are often seen skulking around, whilst bat-eared foxes are a rarer sight.
Ngorongoro Crater Access
The Ngorongoro crater can be accessible easily by flight or car. There are daily flights to Arusha from Dar Es Salaam where you would be met by a safari guide.
Alternative you can fly to Lake Manyara airstrip, which is about an hour from the Ngorongoro Crater and you may be picked up by a safari guide.

There is no accommodation within the Ngorongoro Crater. This implies that, there are two different accommodation options; either staying on the Crater rim or on the Rift Valley Escarpment.
